Identified the strategic misalignment between retail-focused analytics and the distinct requirements of Financial Services. Led the initiative to "in-source" forecasting and analytics capabilities, ultimately building and managing the dedicated function for the business.
Strategic Re-alignment: Architected the separation of the Financial Services analytics function from the broader retail group (Argos/Homebase), designing an operating model tailored specifically to the unique needs of the financial services sector.
Capabilities Design: Created end-to-end forecasting and analytics processes, identified the required technology stack, and oversaw the successful migration of these capabilities in-house.
Organizational Development: Managed the full team lifecycle: authored all job specifications, conducted the talent acquisition process, and scaled the department to full operational capacity.
Leadership Transition: Promoted to Head of Planning & Business Analysis to lead the team and drive the strategic output of the newly established function.
In-Sourcing Success: Successfully transitioned from fragmented group-level support to a high-performing, dedicated in-house planning and analytics department.
Operating Model Efficiency: Delivered a customized operating model that aligned analytical output with the specific regulatory and commercial requirements of the financial services business.
